AI pack Author: xStream With help of: Tambovski, BAC9-FLCL, Kasper, Zoid, Masster, Iwer, Domestos Adaptation for AMK Mod: Zoid This pack contains 4 AI schemes for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl 1) “Grenadier” (or “Grenade throwing”) scheme. (xrs_grenade.script) The previous version was improved: Different voices for different groups are added; New marks for grenades on minimap; Bugs fixed; Algorithm of giving and deleting grenades from NPC’s inventory was changed; Decision logic was slightly improved; 2) “Medic” scheme. (xrs_medic.script) Now NPCs can heal their friends and NPCs neutral to them, if they have a medkit! Also, NPC can heal himself, if has less than half of HP, of course if he has a medkit. The healing can only occur if there is now enemy nearby. 3) “Anti-cheerful requiem” scheme (modified xr_kamp.script) NPC’s at rest (e.g. near the campfire) can now drag corpses away from them. Unfortunately, they don’t always do it due to game’s engine limitation. But this situations are quite rare. 4) “Tamagotchi” scheme. (xrs_armor.script) Now you can sell any armor to NPC and he might put it in. Or you can drop it in a front of NPC. If this armor is better than NPC has, he will take it and put it on. NPCs are very shy, so they change their clothes only when Marked One doesn’t see them and is at least 15 meters away. Also, there is an armor upgrade system for NPC’s. Now they evolve and it is possible after some time to meet novice NPC wearing much better armor than he worn before To delete each scheme you need only to delete the file which is stated in brackets. This addon can be used absolutely freely for all. You should use version 1.0004 of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Adaptation for different mods are coming soon (for AMK Mod it is ready), then universal installator(for any mod) will be released. This process is accompanied by shouting what gives the player ability to react. Also, grenades thrown by NPCs are marked on the minimap by a special signs. Grenades are given out to NPCs constantly with long intervals of time between each giving. Number of grenades depends on NPCs rank. All of this is balanced so that NPCs don’t always throw grenades, but it still appears quite often. 2) NPC’s armor upgrade Now you can donate an armor to NPCs by dropping it in front of him. If NPC decides that this armor is better than he has, he will pick it up and put it on. Unfortunately, in some places they can’t pick anything up because of AI net. In that case it should be possible to sell the armor. NPCs are motivated by following: They won’t put on the clothes of enemy clan (e.g. none of stalkers will put on bandit’s clothes) If you give them an armor of any clan (Duty, Freedom) they will “repaint” it = they will put on the armor of the same class, but neutral or their clan armor. Bandits can put on ANY armor. Self-Upgrade: Now not only Marked One can upgrade his armor, buying/finding new. NPCs can do it too! The principle is that lone Stalkers will get neutral armor, Duty members will get Duty armor and so on. The only exception is bandits. They can put on any armor.
