    AMK Mod - Bug reports

    Hey guys so far I have played up to Wild Territory using v2.0.94, its been pretty smooth most of the time apart from Dark Valley and Wild Territory. Both those areas seem to have an over abundance of too many monster spawns. I cannot seem to progress any further in Wild Territory because its locking up my machine and often corrupting save games during the confusion. I am playing on :- System Specs 1400 x 900 Wide screen Vista 32bit AMD 64 Dual Core 5200+ 2048 DDR2 800Mhz Memory GeForce 8800 GTX 768mb I was able to get through Dark Valley, though it was tricky due to the sheer amount of mutants. But once you have grenaded a few large populations of them, things smooth out back to an acceptable frame rate. However in Wild Territory as soon as I proceed to the railway tracks the game slows down dramatically. I can feel the effects of the controller and hear the battles, and if I wait it out and begin very slowly picking off dogs and kill the controllers the frame rate improves a little, but by this time any saves I have made are corrupted. And trying to reload after death just CTD. I would really like to continue further, so is there a file that I can modify myself using notepad, to lower the spawn rate of those creatures at Wild Territory? Though altering the all.spawn is a little to difficult for me. So if that’s the only way, then I guess I’ll have to wait for a fix.     AMK Weapon Add-on - WIP

    Hey skull hunter, I am really enjoying the AMK with your arsenal add-on pack at the moment. Helps to breath a lot of new life into the game. The modellers and animators of the weapons did a great job, and I wasn’t expecting them to be all that great. But most of them are just as polished as the best vanilla stalker weapons. I love the rifles with reflex sights, you’ve done a great job of introducing those into the game. A couple of things I noticed though which I modified myself, are that the Ingram MAC10s have been given 30 rounds magazine capacity, but you can clearly see on the models that those are the 16 round magazines. And I am assuming the .45 calibre version would have even less rounds in the mag. Another is the Benelli short, it looks like it only has room for 4 rounds in the tubular magazine. You could get an extra in the barrel though so I guess its not too much of a problem. I just wondered if you had chosen those higher mag capacities for some other reason? Also I do have another question, well its sort of a request if it is doable, and that’s to do with the weapon slots. I find that how AMKmod 1.4 allows the sawn-off and SMG’s into the pistol slot kinda makes some of the pistols a bit useless. I mean why equip a PM or Sig220 into slot 1 when you can have a SMG with much higher capacity magazine? But at the same time having that secondary weapon is useful so you don’t have to keep switching weapons all the time in the inventory. Especially during combat. So I wonder is it possible to add a third weapons slot with a new bindable key? Or could the same key be used to toggle between two weapons. Then we could leave the pistol slot just for pistols. For instance:- Numerical Key 2 (weapon slot 1) = Pistols only. Numerical Key 3 (weapon slot 2) = Large Rifles, snipers etc. Numerical Key # (weapon slot 3) = SMGs / rifle carbines and sawn off shotguns etc. Its probably not possible, but its how I wished GSC had set-up the weapon slots in the first place. Anyway thanks for add-on mod, I am really enjoying the crap out of it right now.

    AMK Mod - General Discussion

    Post just to say hi guys. So erm HI. Actually I joined the boards just to show my support for the AMK English mod and the add-ons some of you other modders are doing. Great work from you all. I have to say coming back to STALKER with the AMK mod installed, is the experience I wanted from the game the first time around. I am glad you all took the effort into make it happen. And even though, I have read that AMK 1.41 English speaking version has run into difficulties, I still hope that the AMK mod can continue to grow and add new content in the future, and especially for when clear skies arrives. So anyway thanks for your hard works guys and gals. And I’ll probably pop in and leave some feedback from time to time.
